COURSE OVERVIEW

 

Skills Training Group’s Gas Meter Installer to Domestic Gas Heating Installer Course is designed for operatives who currently hold CMA1, CMA3 or CESP1 and are looking to gain the relevant qualifications in order to join Gas Safe Register and work on domestic gas boilers. Our course is an in-depth training programme and takes place over 4 weeks.

 

The course covers electrical systems, controls and components, heating design and the installation and servicing of domestic central heating systems and water heaters. The cost of the course includes training, a training manual, ACS assessment and all certification fees.

 


 

The Gas Meter Installer to Domestic Gas Heating Installer Course covers the following three areas:

 

Domestic Gas Safety

  1. Combustion, relevant pressures and gas rates

  3. Tightness testing and purging, including low and medium pressure

  • CCN1 – This is the core gas safety certificate which all gas operatives must have to work in the domestic gas industry.
  • CPA1 – Characteristics of combustion and use of
    a flue gas analyser.
  • CENWAT – Installation, service repair and commission
    of domestic central heating boilers and water heaters.
  • Basic Electrical Appreciation
  • Electrical Safe Isolation
