CCN1 & Appliances Re-assessment Package Course Overview

This course in Edinburgh is tailored for gas engineers renewing their domestic ACS accreditation. Eligibility for re-assessment requires:

  • Current ACS certification, or
  • If expired, the re-assessment must be undertaken within 12 months post-expiry of existing qualifications.

Engineers whose ACS has expired over 12 months ago are required to enroll in the CCN1 & Appliance Initial Package Course.

Effective from 1st September 2022, engineers must be registered on the Gas Safe Register for at least 12 months to add new appliances to their initial registration.

The Domestic ACS Refresher Package (CCN1 & Appliances) provides both training and re-assessment in the following areas:

  • CCN1 – Core Domestic Natural Gas Safety
  • CPA1 – Combustion Performance Analysis
  • CENWAT – Domestic Gas Central Heating Boilers & Water Heaters
  • HTR1 – Domestic Gas Fires & Wall Heaters
  • CKR1 – Domestic Gas Cooking Appliances

Note: Adding appliances for the first time requires additional training in a realistic working environment, incurring extra costs.

CCN1 Gas Safety Training Manuals

Upon commencing their course in Edinburgh, participants will receive an LCL Awards Domestic Gas Safety Training Guide.

Essentials to Bring

Attendees are required to bring:

  • A passport-sized photo (if not previously provided)
  • Official Identification (Passport or Driving Licence)
  • Documentation of previous qualifications, e.g., ACS or plumbing certificates

Distribution of manuals occurs on the first day of the course.
