Yes. Our standard EFAW course includes the additional practical training on life-threatening bleeding and keeping airways open required before SIA door supervisor or security guard training. Compare full Level 3 Paediatric First Aid with Emergency Paediatric First Aid against your role and employer’s requirements. Full blended paediatric training includes six hours online and one practical day. The emergency paediatric course takes one day. The course cards show the relevant public or on-site delivery options.
Successful EFAW and FAW learners receive an FAIB-accredited certificate, valid for three years. You must complete the training and meet the assessment requirements. Full paediatric first aid has a different award: the Qualsafe Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid (RQF).
EFAW and FAW certificates last three years. Plan renewal before the expiry date. EFAW renewal repeats the one-day course; existing FAW certificate holders can ask about the two-day requalification course.
