What You’ll Study
The course includes all the required modules to prepare you for work as a licensed security guard in the UK:

Gain a foundational understanding of how the UK security sector operates, including legal obligations and professional conduct.
🛡️ Working as a Security Officer
Learn your daily duties — from patrolling and monitoring access points to managing emergencies and completing incident reports.
⚠️ Conflict Management
Develop skills to identify, de-escalate, and safely manage confrontations using effective communication techniques.
🩹 Emergency First Aid at Work (Optional)
First Aid is a mandatory requirement for your SIA licence. If you don’t already hold a valid certificate, you can add this one-day course to your training bundle.

Assessments & Certification
The training involves multiple-choice exams, practical exercises, and group-based learning. Upon passing all elements, you’ll be awarded a Highfield-accredited certificate — your ticket to applying for an SIA licence.
