What First Aid Skills You’ll Learn

Our first aid course will provide the essential skills and knowledge to help you respond effectively in an emergency situation. You’ll learn how to assess and treat common medical conditions such as cuts, bruises, fractures and burns. We’ll discuss simple techniques for administering CPR and offering medical care while waiting for a nurse or paramedics to arrive. You’ll also be trained on how to identify and respond to poisons and fevers, as well as how to treat fainting episodes.

We’ll provide comprehensive training on how best to use a first aid kit, bandages and other medical supplies. You’ll be instructed on the importance of safety when providing care for an injured person, including how to prevent further injury and infection. We’ll also provide guidance on how to best use phone emergency services (such as ambulance, fire and police) to get the necessary help in a timely manner.
