The UK Contractors Group (UKCG) recognises the SMSTS qualification as essential for management-level staff. It ensures delegates understand their legal duties and the importance of maintaining safe working environments.

Course Materials
All delegates receive CITB Construction Site Safety GE700 course materials, which you can keep and use as a reference after training. Additional resources and handouts are also included.
Assessment
To gain your qualification, you must:
- Attend all five days in full
- Take part in group exercises and interactive activities
- Complete daily assessments
- Successfully pass the final multiple-choice exam
The course is highly interactive, giving you plenty of opportunities to apply what you learn through real-world scenarios.
Qualification & Renewal
Upon successful completion, you will receive the CITB Site Safety Plus SMSTS Certificate, valid for five years.
To maintain your qualification, you must complete a 2-day SMSTS Refresher Course before your certificate expires.
