The Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) is a nationally recognised CITB qualification designed for those who plan, oversee, or coordinate construction operations. Course Materials
All learners receive the official CITB Construction Site Safety GE700 publication, along with additional supporting resources. These materials remain yours after the course and act as essential references for safe and compliant site management.
Assessment
To successfully complete the SMSTS course, delegates must:
- Attend all five training days
- Participate in group activities and discussions
- Complete daily assessments and progress checks
- Pass the final multiple-choice examination
This structured assessment process ensures strong understanding and the ability to apply key safety principles confidently in practical settings.
Qualification & Renewal
On completion, you will receive the CITB Site Safety Plus SMSTS Certificate, which is valid for five years. This qualification is widely required for site supervisors, managers, and those with safety responsibilities across the UK construction sector.
To renew your certification, you must complete the 2-day SMSTS Refresher Course before your certificate expires.
