Entry Requirements

Course Materials
All delegates receive the official CITB Construction Site Safety GE700 publication, along with supporting handouts. These materials are yours to keep and offer valuable long-term guidance for managing safety on site.
Assessment
To successfully complete your SMSTS qualification, you must:
- Attend all five training days
- Participate in group activities and classroom tasks
- Complete daily knowledge checks
- Pass the final multiple-choice examination
The course is highly interactive, helping you build practical confidence and apply key principles to real site scenarios.
Qualification & Renewal
Upon successful completion, you will receive the CITB Site Safety Plus SMSTS Certificate, which is valid for five years. This qualification is widely required across the construction industry for management-level roles.
To renew your certificate, you must complete the 2-day SMSTS Refresher Course before your current certificate expires.
