The CCN1 & Appliances Initial Package Course is for gas engineers who are sitting their domestic ACS accreditation for the first time or who have let their existing domestic ACS expire for more than 12 months.
From Monday 1st September 2022, you must have been registered on the Gas Safe Register for a minimum of 12 months to add additional appliances to your initial registration.
Domestic ACS Initial Package covers training and assessment on some or all of the following:
CCN1 – Core Domestic Gas Safety, including CPA1 (Combustion Performance Analysis)
CENWAT – Central Heating Boilers & Water Heaters
CKR1 – Cookers
HTR1 – Space Heaters (including Gas Fires and Wall Heaters)
Appliances being added for the first time would require realistic working environment training at an additional cost.
Core Domestic Gas Safety CCN1 assessment training covers:
Combustion, relevant pressures and gas rates
Tightness testing and purging, including low and medium pressure
Chimney systems recognition and testing
Flue gas analysis
The CCN1 assessment takes the form of practical tests and multiple choice question papers.
On successful completion of the course, candidates will be issued with the LCL Awards Certificate in Core Domestic Gas Safety (CCN1) and the appliances they have undertaken.
Some of our clients who trust us with their training:
