The CITB SMSTS Refresher course is specifically designed for:
- Site managers who previously passed the five-day SMSTS course
- Construction site managers with an existing certificate approaching expiry
- Project managers responsible for safety responsibilities on construction sites
- Professionals who need to renew their SMSTS qualification
- Anyone holding an SMSTS certificate that expires within the next 6 months
Entry Requirements
To enrol on the SMSTS Refresher training course, candidates must:
- Provide proof of their current SMSTS certificate (which must still be valid)
- Complete the course before their existing certificate expires
- Have a good understanding of spoken and written English
- Possess experience working in a site management role
- Have access to suitable equipment for remote learning sessions
Please note: If your SMSTS certificate has already expired, you will need to take the full SMSTS course again, as per scheme rules.
